Branded Filming Guide

8 Key Tips for Filming a Successful Brand Video

The simple secret to a wildly viral video is to grab a viewer’s attention within the first 3 seconds and retain their attention throughout the entire video. To achieve this, we have the following requirements:

  1. Review the brand brief before filming

  2. Film all shots according to your shot list

  3. Always make the brand the star & avoid using any competing products.

  4. Film your assigned hook (attention grabber) according to what Kara planned for you on your project planner.

  5. You will voice over your video, so there is no need to talk while filming.

  6. Keep your filming surfaces clean, uncluttered, and well lit.

  7. Review footage and brand brief before submitting to ensure you delivered on all requirements

Before Filming

Review the top section of the Brand Brief provided by Kari. This will tell you:

  • Brand request shots

  • Specific talking points for your voiceover

  • Required safety gear/PPE (if applicable)
